Eric R. Meyer
Swiss artist, designer and creator
Eric R. Meyer is a Swiss artist and designer whose work lies at the crossroads of digital hyperrealism, Swiss Gothic aesthetics and a symbolism deeply inspired by traditions and myths.
Following a long career in industrial design, he has collaborated with internationally renowned manufacturers and brands such as MB&F, L’Épée 1839, Rolex, the Swatch Group, Nespresso and Philips. His approach, centred on people and innovation, has earned him numerous accolades and led to the creation of iconic products.
Today, Eric Meyer channels this commitment to design into a personal artistic practice. His work explores the boundaries between memory, nature and spirituality, giving rise to a unique visual language that blends technical precision, totemic symbols and mysterious atmospheres.
Deeply influenced by his childhood in the Swiss countryside, he draws inspiration from landscapes, folk beliefs and the sense that every place, every object and every being possesses an invisible presence. As he himself puts it:
‘I paint what I felt whilst growing up in rural Switzerland: the silent mystery, the strange beauty, the sense that everything—even what appears motionless—is inhabited.’
His work combines the most advanced digital technologies with a sensibility rooted in sculpture, painting and the fine arts. Each creation becomes a visual narrative where realism meets the imagination, inviting the viewer to explore the connections between the visible world and the symbolic dimensions that surround it.
Through his works, Eric Meyer develops a powerful, sombre and poetic universe, where contemporary aesthetics engage with ancestral narratives and universal emotions.
